Today is a relatively calm Saturday. We're taking a leisurely pace into the weekend.
If it weren't for the intermittent power outages we're having at home, I'd say it's a very pleasant day.
I wanted to write a post about the cats in the house today, but I just finished a small task that came up, and the power just went out again.
So I decided to share a short post first, and if the power continues to work, I'll take care of another post later.

Hoy es un sábado relativamente calmado. Estamos llevando el fin de semana con ritmo pausado.
Si no fuera por las fallas eléctricas intermitentes que tenemos en casa, podría decir que es un día muy agradable.
Quería hacer hoy un post sobre los gatos de la casa, pero acabo de terminar una pequeña tarea que me llegó, y acaba de saltar de nuevo la electricidad.
Así que me decidí por compartir una breve publicación primero, y si el servicio eléctrico continúa trabajando, más tarde me encargaré de subir otro post.
Si no fuera por las fallas eléctricas intermitentes que tenemos en casa, podría decir que es un día muy agradable.

Living with these uncertainties is a bit stressful, even if you try to get used to it. I truly believe there's a reasonable limit to resilience, and when you're in a situation that's falling apart, it's hard not to be emotionally affected.
As if the existing problems weren't enough, a water pipe in an external wall of the house just burst. My brother had to turn off the water supply valves until he identified the source of the fail.
For now, the issue has been controlled, the leaking water (which is a hazard because it can undermine the house's ground) has been stopped, and a major repair will be done another day.

Vivir con estas incertidumbres es algo que estresa un poco, incluso si uno trata de acostumbrarse. En verdad que creo que hay un límite razonable para la resiliencia, y que cuando se está en una situación que se cae a pedazos, es difícil no verse afectado emocionalmente.
Como si no bastaran los problemas existentes, se acaba de romper una tubería de agua en una pared externa de la casa. Mi hermano tuvo que cerrar las llaves de paso de agua hasta que identificó donde estaba la falla.
Por ahora, se controló la falla, se detuvo el bote de agua (que es un peligro porque puede socavar el terreno de la casa), y queda para otro día hacer una reparación mayor.
