We’re back today, in TWO hours, on the Hive Discord focused on the Hive Community.
This post is letting you know, there is two hours until we start.
That will be at 6pm UTC | 1pm EST | 10am PST
What is the Hive Thrive Community Hour?`
A HIVE discord show that will have a town hall feel to it.
We see a real gap between devs, projects, witnesses, community leaders, and everyday Hive users. There are so many people looking to feel more connected, engaged, and informed—and we want to bridge that gap. This show is about:
✅ Learning about the Hive Blockchain
✅ Sharing what what’s available to use or being worked on
✅ Exploring where Hive is headed (or could be)
✅ Identifying roadblocks—and, more importantly, finding solutions
✅ Fostering constructive and proactive discussions
✅ Providing another space for the community to engage

Meet our guest
He’s one of the most consequential technical figures in Hive’s history. From the fork itself to hardfork implementation, core infrastructure, witness responsibilities, and ongoing governance debates, his influence on the protocol layer is difficult to overstate.
When people argue about DHF spending, survivability, inflation, or haircut risk, they are often indirectly arguing about decisions that sit very close to the work he and the core team are doing.
He operates at the intersection of code and policy, which means this conversation will not just be philosophical. It will be about what is technically possible, what is economically survivable, and what tradeoffs are unavoidable. If you care about where Hive is actually going rather than where you hope it is going, this is one to attend.
What we’ll talk about:
• The last hardfork, and what it accomplished
• Future hardfork priorities and what must be built next
• Haircut territory, survivability, and how close is “too close”
• DHF funding, inflation pressure, and the long term economic balance
• whether governance tools need to evolve
• Stewardship, oversight, and accountability for large funding initiatives
🎤 As always, the chat is open during the show, and the after-show continues the conversation

This isn’t just another talk show—it’s modeled after a town hall for the Hive community. Whether you’re a dev, a content creator, a witness, or just someone who wants to learn and be more engaged, this is your space.
