Greetings to all. I think it is the first time that I publish in the Ecency community, and I do it thanks to the invitation made by my friend
, so that we reflect on that beautiful and essential satellite, our dear Luna. Below I share the invitation he made.
I really liked the ideas that he suggested regarding the Moon, especially the three that I share below, so I will try to answer each question:
Do you like the idea of following a lunar calendar?
Do you feel more like a moon or a sun person?
Do you know of any old superstitions about the moon?
Do you like the idea of following a lunar calendar?
I love the idea of following a Lunar Calendar, and this is very important to me, since I take care of my plants, my crops in general, according to the lunar phase of the day. I am going to explain: For example, in New Moon, I control the pests, I remove the branches that are deteriorated and are no longer useful, I try to put fertilizer on their roots. In Crescent Moon, I apply fertilizer to their leaves, I plant seeds so they grow stronger, I prune some branches so they grow stronger. At Full Moon, I apply compost to the leaves, I can pick its fruits, and I sow seeds too. On the waning moon, I once again control their pests, I once again remove the leaves and useless branches, I place plant material at the base to protect them. Also, I apply this to myself too, because I usually deworm myself when the Moon wanes.
Do you feel more like a moon or a sun person?
I think I'm more of a “moon person”, because my mood can vary from day to day, and emotions can inevitably take hold of me, making me fickle, so I try to stay as centered as possible. and objective as possible, but I don't always succeed. Also, I think I'm a calm person, I really like to observe others, analyze them, understand why people act and think in a certain way, rather than being observed, just like the Moon.
Do you know of any old superstitions about the moon?
Many years ago, in my town, I met a woman who had a daughter, with a strange mole on her left leg, near the ankle. The mole was in the shape of a heart, perfectly drawn. She told me that when she was pregnant with her daughter, a lunar eclipse occurred, and while this eclipse occurred, she looked directly at the sky and traced a heart on her left leg, near her ankle, with her index finger; and he did it intentionally so that the girl was born with a heart-shaped mole in that same place. I don't know if it's true, but imagine if he had put his hand on his face, for example...
These are my brief reflections on the Moon, and I say goodbye with a photo that I took today of the Moon, from my backyard (although the truth is that it didn't look good on me, I don't think my smartphone is appropriate for those shots), and I also leave you a children's song or perhaps a poem, I don't know, that my mother sang to me when I was a child: Moon, Moon, bell ringer, blue eyes, brown mouth...
These photos are my own, and were taken with a Xiomi REDMI 8 A phone
