Hi there, I haven’t written in a week because I had to have heart surgery. I’m healthy now. Therefore, my grandchildren said that we should go to make merit and offer food to the monks to create good things for our lives. So we went to a temple near our home. Udon Province ( Thailand) has many temples in the city. This temple is Wat Thipayarat or Ban Chick. ( wat means temple) This temple has 20 monks.
The temple is decorated in beautiful garden with variety of plants and flowers. The atmosphere of almsgiving. The monks were walked in a line to out food in the alms bowls .
There were many people lined in the street outside temple. It’s faith and belief in Buddhism.
For me, giving food to good or poor brings good to both the givers and the receivers. Do you agree? Thanks for reading . Buddha bless you.
