📝 A Strong Housewife's Diary: When the Definition of Happiness is Having a Job and Loved Ones to Care For 💖🤍✌🏻
The beauty of life isn't measured by comfort, but by the pride we feel when we do our best at the work in front of us.
Hello, my lovely friends!
Many people look forward to Saturday for a break, but for a strong housewife like me, the definition of happiness isn't a day off, but seeing the people we love happy and having a stable job waiting for us.
A morning that begins with love (and a little rush). The clock strikes 6. While it's morning for many, for me, who has to take care of the whole house, this is sleeping in.
It makes my heart flutter a little! Everything has to be done quickly but with meticulous attention to detail. The first task in the kitchen is preparing food for my mother-in-law: warm rice porridge and milk to fill her stomach, along with lunch (the nanny takes care of things around noon). Before waking up my daughter, who still has activities at school, even though other schools have already started their break.
My morning happiness comes from helping my husband take care of my mother-in-law, applying lotion and oil to make her comfortable before she rests on the clean bed we've prepared for her. This is the duty I'm most proud of. It energizes both myself and our pets.
Before leaving the house, life wouldn't be complete without our little ones being fed. I quickly take the fresh water spinach that my sister-in-law bought for us to feed our Sulcata tortoise and take care of our bright orange Sun Conure parrot. As for my husband and me, a strong black coffee and a simple plate of fried eggs is enough fuel to tackle the hard work of the day.
From housework to working on a backhoe
Today's big mission is to fell rubber trees. No matter how hot the sun is or how rough the job site looks, I'm always ready to stand by my husband's side. We work as a team. This time, my husband is mainly driving, while I sit under the shade of a tree, overseeing everything. I use this free time to distill my thoughts into an article to share with my friends.
Our work today involved operating two excavators at two different locations: a contracted farm job here and hourly work at Na Talung. That kind of constantly moving life is what makes it so exciting! ✌🏻😝
Transforming a desolate wasteland into a space of hope.
Yesterday, my husband and I finished a major project. The area was once overgrown with vegetation, covered in giant bamboo clumps that completely obscured the fish pond. We used our trusty excavator to carefully dig and clear the area. We didn't just throw away the weeds; we covered them with soil to allow them to decompose naturally and become fertilizer.
It took 14 hours of dedicated work, and the result is a clean, beautiful area with a newly dredged fish pond that looks like it was magically created. Seeing it made all the hard work worthwhile!
Even though the internet signal is sometimes unreliable, forcing me to drive kilometers to find a good signal to post this, I'm happy to do it. Because I want my friends to know that a life that's tiring but has a goal is the most valuable life. Live in the present, make the most of the present, and keep fighting! (Myself) ✌🏻🫰🏻♥️
Thank you for all your support and encouragement. See you again tomorrow with more down-to-earth stories filled with love from me. 🤍♥️🙏🏻
