🌿 Gardener's Life: A Mission to Conquer Weeds Under the Palm Shade 🌴
Hello, my lovely friends 🥰
Yesterday was another day where I took on various roles, from being a housekeeper, a chef in the kitchen, to... a full-time gardener 😅 Taking on a variety of roles.
After completing my morning duties, including caring for my favorite pet and recharging myself with breakfast, I quickly headed to my daily battleground: our beloved palm oil plantation.
💚 A battle that requires both physical and mental energy.
The main task of the day is to mow and weed heavily. The grass is growing rapidly, pushing up the oil palm trees I've planted, making them look overgrown. If left untreated, the palm trees might not grow well. I've recently fertilized them, so I don't want anything to disturb them. Some of you might be wondering, what about the three cows I raise? Yes, I raise them to help manage the grass in the garden and turn their manure into excellent organic fertilizer. However, the cows don't eat all kinds of grass, especially thorny weeds or plants they don't like. The rest is up to me and my trusty lawnmower.
In the afternoon, my husband and I headed into the garden. My husband checked the engine, filled it with gas, and started the engine, which roared loudly, signaling the start of the task. We started cutting grass together. But because I wanted to capture memories and stories to share with my friends, I asked him to take some still photos and videos of me working hard. This is the true look of a gardener. 📸
⚠️ When life as a gardener presents a slightly "risky" scenario
Yesterday's lawn mowing was a bit scary. Because I was in such a rush, I forgot my safety glasses at home. 🤦♀️
In some areas, besides the weeds, there were also small rocks and wood chips that were blown away by the lawnmower blade. And then... a minor accident happened. While I was mowing the lawn, the blade hit a rock, sending it flying and hitting my face. It was a sharp pain. 😫
Even though I only sustained a minor injury, with redness and a small cut on my face, it's all fine now. I quickly applied some medicine and took care of myself. I'm sure it won't be disfiguring. 😉 I believe that in a few days, these small cuts will heal completely. (It's a testament to my dedication as a gardener, isn't it?)
🏃♀️ From the Garden to the Kitchen: A Change of Scenes from the Nonstop Life
The two of us spent about two hours mowing the garden until it was time for the kids to finish school. That was the signal that it was time to take on a new role.
I quickly switched off the lawnmower, packed up, and headed back to our restaurant. Honestly, I was so tired yesterday, but I barely got any rest when I arrived...
I quickly washed my hands, changed clothes, put on an apron, and rushed into the kitchen just as the students were starting to arrive to order takeout. I instantly transformed from "a dedicated gardener" to "a professional cook." 👩🍳
I stood there cooking for the kids until about 6:30 PM. Once the students had all gone home, it was time to take care of the evening pets again, and then I headed into the kitchen to make dinner for the family.
After completing all my responsibilities for the day, I showered, got dressed, and then sat down in the restaurant, completely exhausted... I was so exhausted, friends! 😆
But this is the essence of life, so fun and so rewarding. Even though it was tiring, every drop of sweat was meaningful and made life colorful and different from the norm.
That's all I have to share with you today about my garden adventures. I hope you find them both enjoyable and encouraging. 😊
For today, I must say goodbye, my friends. See you again next time. Thank you for following and supporting me. Thank you very much.
🙏🏻❤️🌴🌳
