Good day dear mates! When I'm writing this post I ’m not just trying to tell my story; I’ve also found myself looking back on the past. Over the past eight years, I’ve seen ups and downs, and I’ve seen people come to the aid of those in need or facing difficult circumstances, all for the sake of making a profit. And sometimes I’ve been disappointed because people have resorted to deceit and fraud. But some of them were given a second chance.
I don’t want to bore you with my memories; let’s start from the beginning. Specifically, from the moment I learned about this platform in October of 2017th.
At that time crypto was in hype. But I didn't know much at that time about cryptocurrencies and mining.
At first time I read about Steem blockchain at some online sources.
But anyway even after I read part of blockchain whitepaper I still had many questions about it and I was thinking is it safely for me or not?
But after couple weeks I decided to join anyway! And at the 19th of October I received email with my keys from account. And new part of my life began!
I remember how at first months I published posts with my photos, stories or participated in contests. Tried to reblog everything what I thought was not bad. But my own payouts was barely near zero.
Yuhh I tried to be in time everywhere. In different discord channels, tried to participate in every possible contest or challenge. In some of them I even got prizes like merch. Of course it was not so often. Also if to talk about participation in contests I got good lessons from it. Here’s what happened: I wanted to participate in one of the challenges, was in a hurry, and while drafting the description for one of my posts, I compromised my account. It was blocked immediately. Fortunately, I was able to regain access to my account after a while. But I’ve learned this lesson for all my life. And sometimes, rushing and carelessness can cost us a lot.
But let’s move on. And here I want to mention that blockchain isn’t just a platform — it also offers us so much more, as interactions on Hive can turn into real-life connections or friendships, and there are plenty of examples of this. Unfortunately, there aren’t many Hive users in my country, but even here, people find opportunities to make friends, chat, and discover what unites them! I was no exception; I had the chance to meet some of the Hivians(Steemians) in person, and I’m glad we’ve stayed in touch to this day, even though some of them now live very far away.
And so, step by step, we’re approaching the pivotal moment when the fork occurred that shaped Hive’s core development. A couple of years ago, I came across a post that described the events in considerable detail. You can read about it here Steem vs Tron: The rebellion against a cryptocurrency empire. And I decided to become a part of Hive! I have to admit that at the time of the hard fork, I cheated a little—by speculating on the exchange rate, I managed to boost my HP slightly and upgrade some of my cards in Splinterlands...
If to talk about Splinterland what became a great part of Hive and brought to us a lot of users many time I triend to stay aside of it and not to invest fiat money but once I understood that I can trust to it and used some fiat to buy packs.
Also after HF I tried to stay active but at some period I was quiet and didn't post anything for a long time . I can't say why it happened but this is part of my way and anyway I came back coz I like not only to read but also to produce "content".
Now over 8 years We see that Hive has become a home for many—not just a platform that keeps pace with the times, but a place where technology comes to life! Just look at the already widely loved Splinterlands, Crownred, and 3Speak platform, as well as those just emerging, such as Holozing. It’s also worth noting that in the age of AI, Hive isn’t falling behind, and we’re seeing the convergence of blockchain technologies and artificial intelligence. Of course, I’m against generating all content this way, but as part of Hive dapps, Hive frontends have implemented this technology well—just look at the new features of the Ecyency app or image creation on Hive.
So at this days when Hive will celebrate it's 6 years I want to say that I think that Hive will be developed further and once after several years not only me but my kids once will post on Hive! and all what we brought here will stay with us and Hive forever as so as in Hive we trust!
p.s. this is my entry to Hive turns 6 - Tell us your journey! initiated by
