Do you feel overwhelmed and exhausted? Are you feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders? If so, it may be time to take a step back and evaluate what is truly important in your life. Here are 5 things that you should consider quitting right now for a simpler, more enjoyable life.
Overthinking
Overthinking makes you ineffective. It makes everything worse than it actually is, spoils the situation, turns everything around, and forces you to worry. It is the art of creating problems that weren’t even there in the first place.
Overthinking can be a huge drain on your energy and productivity, leaving you feeling exhausted and drained. It's time to put a stop to the cycle of overthinking and move on with life.
Make your decision and move. Don’t worry, either way, you’re right. Don’t enter panic mode by overthinking everything in your life.
Trying to make everyone happy

“I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.” ~ Bill Cosby
Most times, we crave people's approval. We want their validation, so we always seek to please people. If you must have a joyful and fulfilling life, then you must stop trying to make everyone happy. You need to develop the courage to be disliked.
Living in the past
Is living in the past preventing you from living your best life? We all have moments in our lives that we wish we could go back and change, but dwelling on these moments can be detrimental to our emotional well-being.
It's important to recognize that the past cannot be changed and instead focus on how you can improve your future.
Let go of any regrets, hurt feelings, and disappointments from your past and move forward with a fresh perspective.
Quitting the habit of living in the past will free up mental energy for you to focus on what truly matters in life.
It doesn’t matter if you have missed an opportunity, failed over and over again, or gone through a breakup or a divorce multiple times. If given a chance, everyone would return and turn the hands of time, but it doesn’t matter either.
Your good life is now, your best life is ahead of you. Live in the moment and create a wonderful future.
Worrying
“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.” ~ Roy. T. Bennett
I've come to accept events as they unfold since I now realize that what will be will be. You can’t change it. Worrying is the perfect way to waste your time without moving forward. You keep moving around the same spot, and your problem never gets any better. Why not shift your energy to a higher plane?
Move into a creative zone. Focus on what you can do, not what has been done.
Doubting Yourself
If there’s anything you should quit, then this should be it. Our greatest misery, pain, and woes have always come from a lack of belief in or trust in our own powers.
Hence, Lolly Daskal was right when she said, “The worst enemy of our humanity is our self-doubt.”
You have done great things in the past. You have put in some remarkable effort. But it seems you’ve forgotten about that. Start writing down everything that you’ve done, and then you’ll know that something great lies inside of you.
BELIEVE IN YOU!
