I would classify myself as an absolute beginner when it comes to being environmentally friendly, but after doing some study, I came up with some fundamental principles for myself, which you can read below
- Utilize less, recycle more . The most crucial action you can do to lessen your impact on the environment is this. Reduce the quantity of things you buy, reuse things where you can, and recycle the rest.
- Spare no energy. To keep heat in during the winter and cool air in during the summer, weatherize your home by turning off the lights when you leave a room, unplugging appliances when they aren't in use, and more
- Be water wise. Reduce the length of your showers, address any plumbing leaks, and only water your yard and plants when they actually need it.
- Pick eco-friendly goods. Look for products that are packaged in recyclable or reusable containers and that are created from sustainable materials when you are out shopping.
- Get active in your neighbourhood. Making a difference for the environment and becoming active in your community are both possible. You can promote an eco-friendly lifestyle to your friends and loved ones by volunteering for an environmental organisation, establishing a recycling programme in your community, or just by talking to them.
You can have a significant impact on the environment by adhering to these few rules

Here are some more pointers on leading a greener lifestyle:
Less driving. Avoid driving whenever possible by walking, bicycling, or using public transportation.
Waste food should be composted. Composting enhances soil quality and reduces waste.
Purchase food produced nearby. Eating locally grown food lessens the impact of food transportation on the environment.
Aid environmentally friendly companies. Look for stores that are committed to sustainability when you are shopping.
Become informed. You can do more to safeguard the environment the more you are aware of it.
A excellent strategy to lessen your impact on the environment and change things for the better is to lead an eco-friendly lifestyle. So begin right away!

How has reducing my environmental impact affected my day-to-day living?
- I pay more attention to how much energy I use. I unplug items when they are not in use, turn off the lights when I leave a room, and weatherize my house to keep the heat in during the winter and the cool air in during the summer.
- I'm more aware of how much I waste. I strive to buy things that are packaged in recyclable or reusable containers and recycle and compost everything I can.
