Another Grey Cape Town Morning
Hello everybody. It's Zack here from Cape Town, South Africa. It is another rainy and cold Cape Town morning. As you know, the southern hemisphere is now deep in our winter, and Cape Town is a winter rains area, whereas other parts of the country might only receive rain during the summer months. Cape Town instead has a generally known moderate climate that's somewhat Mediterranean. However, we have got a mountain range on our eastern side. So, it's quite dark in the mornings until the sun can crest over the mountain ranges, of which there are several on our eastern side. I started work at seven o'clock this morning, and the roads are wet.
The nights are bitterly cold. Electricity consumption is extremely high, and that is because we're struggling to keep the house warm. We do not have a heater. So, everybody is just padding up and going to bed early, except for myself, which obviously I'm awake until late because I'm doing a course as well as doing my five things.
Stay safe everybody out there if you're in a rainy place like I am. Drive safely and keep warm. For everybody else in the north who's experiencing some better weather, I envy you. And I hope that you make the best of it. Cheers.
