The lawsuit brought against Ripple's XRP by the SEC stating it was a security has been settled, and XRP has spared with the judgement.
Several high profile cryptocurrencies have become the target of SEC inquiries including MATIC and SOL.
This judgement gives me hope that the SEC ruling can be used as a precedent to stop cryptocurrency from falling under securities law.
Will this ruling usher in a golden age of cryptocurrency? Could such a ruling give confidence to investors who may have been spooked by the SEC? I think so, and am excited for the future.
