Cryptocurrency was once compared with gold and silver as an alternative asset market that could serve as a counterbalance to stocks and bonds.
Given that cryptocurrency has been embraced by large firms, will cryptocurrency act as a safe haven alternative asset during the next recession cycle?
Personally, I am of two minds about this. I have seen cryptocurrency decline with the broader market during downturns, but see it as a potentially better alternative asset than gold in some measures.
What do you think?
