Fruits and vegetables are great sources of vitamins and minerals which helps our digestive system to perform effectively. That means there will be no risk of bowel cancer or constipation as the case may be.
Did you know that regular intake of fruits and veggies makes our skin to glow? Hahahaha... I know most ladies would want to have a glowing skin and so, eating healthy meals can help you achieve that so easily.
You can also decide to make smoothies out of these amazing fruits to keep the soul and mind together.
During my antenatal clinic days, we were taught the benefits of some of these fruits below and we were also encouraged to take them as often as possible.
- Oranges: are good source of vitamin C which helps to heal wounds and act as a body defense against germs.
- watermelon: keeps the body hydrated and also serve as a source of vitamin C.
- papaya: Research has proven that pawpaw/papaya has anticancer properties, that means it can reduce cancer risk.
- Apples: Apples are nutritious and may help reduce the risk of diabetes and cancer. etc..
Finally, fruits and veggies can be used for Dessert, salad, smoothies, appetizer, breakfast and some families even use them for dinner.
It's a healthy meal and a lifestyle that should be embraced.
