Yesterday was one of those days.
I'd been in conflict with my Home Warranty company for several weeks over this heat pump that is built into the wall of my bedroom, it was here when I bought the place
That is both an AC and Heater. The heat works (too noisy for sleeping) but now that it is hot weather, the AC doesn't work at all.
The fan blows, but not cold air.
My contract says that if they can't fix it, they will replace it.
I called them again, and was told
"you will have to pay $230 for the modifications to the electric and drain you requested"
What? I didn't request anything
"It was in the technicians report that the electrical and drainage needs work"
Fine, you fix it, I am not required to pay any more, it is in my contract.
This has been an issue now for nearly 3 wks, in the meantime I am running the HOUSE AC (central, which is only connected back here through a VERY small vent, high up on the wall) with two fans sitting on the floor blowing cool air back here, and one small fan mounted at the top of my doorway blowing warm air back towards the front.
Just the wrong way to go about things.
Finally the AC company called to tell me that the warranty company had agreed to replace the whole unit. It won't be here until the 19th tho.
Then, I called Medicare, and my private insurance to find out of the MRI for my knee and the Ultrasound imaging for my carotids are covered.
They are, but the fact that I spent another long time on the phone (I don't do phone very well) didn't help my state of mind.
I went to my niece's house to water her plants and bring in the mail (they are vacation) but I'd forgotten the friend who stayed there over the weekend had texted me the previous night to say she would still be there yesterday.
I was perplexed when I saw a strange vehicle parked in the driveway.
I called her and was reminded about that text.
They aren't far from me, but more wasted time.
From there I went to the grocery store, while there I got a call that CLAIMED to be from my internet provider. I said "This is not a good time, can you please call me back in an hour or so?" She said she would, but she did not.
All this time I'm trying to stay off my knee as much as possible, but I live alone, I have a garden and flowers that need watering daily, I have things that must be done.
(My knee is actually much better today)
So I am now chillaxing, waiting to go over and water her plants today, I'll hold off in hopes that their mail will run so I can bring that in while I am there.
