It is a pleasure to welcome you to a new installment of the Creative Art column, this time we continue working with clay crafts and it is time to paint with the colors red in various shades and black, the utensils are a pot or "matero" as we know it in my country which will be used to plant a nice cactus, a clay glass and a small plate where we will place the glass, painting in clay is an activity that I have been doing in recent months and I like it because it is relaxing and the brush moves very well, I used cold paint and it was a good choice because it covers the surface completely, I did not add water and this allows to obtain a uniform layer of paint on the pieces.
Es un placer darles la bienvenida a una nueva entrega de la columna Arte Creativo, en esta ocasión continuamos trabajando con artesanías de arcilla y es el turno de pintar con los colores rojo en varios tonos y negro, los utensilios son una maceta o "matero" como lo conocemos en mi país el cual se usará para plantar un lindo cactus, un vaso de arcilla y un pequeño plato donde colocaremos el vaso, pintar en arcilla es una actividad que he estado realizando en los últimos meses y me gusta porque es relajante y el pincel se desplaza muy bien, usé pintura al frío y fue una buena elección, pues cubre la superficie completamente, no agregué agua y esto permite obtener una capa de de pintura uniforme en las piezas.
Once I'd organized the materials; paints, brushes, clay utensils, and white paper, I began by marking the stars on the plate. Then I added color to each one and painted the background black, which allowed them to stand out.
Organizados los materiales; pinturas, pinceles, utensilios de arcilla y hoja blanca, inicié marcando las estrellas en el plato, luego fui agregando color en cada una de ellas y pinté el fondo de color negro, este permite que resalten.
To paint the glass, I continued marking rectangles from the top down, continuing to place squares and rectangles in red and black tones until completely covered.
Para pintar el vaso seguí marcando rectángulos desde la parte superior hacia abajo, continué colocando cuadrados y rectángulos en tonos rojos y negro hasta cubrir totalmente.
Once the utensils were painted, I let them dry for approximately three (3) hours. Then, using gray paint, I painted the inside and bottom. I let it dry again. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that all the parts were covered. That was what I liked most about this paint and about using it without adding water.
Pintados los utensilios dejé secar por aproximadamente tres (3) horas, luego con pintura gris pinté el interior y la parte inferior, dejé secar nuevamente y al observar en detalle noté que todas las partes quedaron cubiertas, eso fue lo que más me gustó de esta pintura y de usarla sin agregar agua.
On the front and back of the plate, I added black, red, and light red lines. I also painted the center in gray. I liked the result of this work. It was done without any specific pattern, just by tracing brushstrokes and covering the surface. It's an excellent activity for exercising motor skills and concentration. I painted the pot in the same way and with the aforementioned colors.
En la parte delantera y posterior del plato agregué líneas negras rojas y rojo claro, el centro lo pinté igualmente de color gris, me gustó el resultado de este trabajo, está hecho sin ningún patrón en específico, solo trazando pinceladas y cubriendo la superficie, es una excelente actividad para ejercitar la motricidad y concentración, la maceta la pinté de la misma forma y con los colores mencionados.
Painting is an ideal activity for children to stimulate and exercise creativity, while developing hand-eye coordination skills.
