I'd like to thrive not just survive, in life I mean; it's not always been easy to do though, there's been moments in which I've felt so utterly destroyed I didn't think I could continue at all, but I managed somehow and feel I could say I have thrived for the most part in life.
I know others who have done the same, survived then thrived through some terrible moments no man or woman should ever have to endure.
Thriving means moving through life with passion and alacrity, with compassion and generosity, mindfulness, connection with nature and the few people I love and I've wanted to do it with a degree of style, to bring my own personality to the fore, and celebrate my life fully, my way.

Those shoes you see, they're not my style at all. I prefer something less flashy and a little more feminine, however someone will buy them and make them their own, meaning they will wear them with the style and flair that feels right for them, as it should be. I'm the same with what I wear and what I do.
I like to be comfortable in my clothing, that means physically and from an emotional perspective. That doesn't mean I don't wear sexy things that, mostly, are not all that comfortable, it means I'm selective where I wear them and for whom. I also like to feel I look good, that I have applied my unique style and that when I walk out the door I represent myself well. It's not to impress others, more to impress upon myself that I care about my appearance and how I present myself to the world.
But style goes deeper than clothing, hair and make-up.
A person's style encompasses everything about them. How they communicate and treat others, how they empathise and why, how interactions with friends, family and strangers unfold, the things a person does for fun, relaxation and enjoyment and also how a person acts when being observed or alone. How a person thinks and acts is style also, that person's unique style. I believe all to be important.
I believe that each of those elements, and everything else about a person, contributes to their style and to truly thrive in life a person must attend to all aspects of it, focus on improving, honing and developing themselves, and only then can one say they are thriving, even despite life holding problems, complications and adversity.
I believe, if a person is going to do something, they should do it with style, their own style.
