I dabbled in the occult when I was a teenager.
I’m talking about occult rituals in the basement type of stuff.
It was easy to do because my mom was that peculiar type of old hippie who raised me on the Lord of the Rings and stories of fairies, ghosts, and goblins. She really believed in all of it and she still does.
I kind of chuckled when she told me that last year she and a group of friends channeled the spirit of Santa Claus. And no that’s not a joke. She was sincere. I still love her. She’ll always be Mom.
The Rider-Waite Tarot and the Crypto Tarot
My magickal adventures died at the tail end of the Clinton era but my love of the aesthetic of the old Rider-Waite tarot deck remained.
There’s something about the artwork that speaks to the old fantasy geek in me.

They have that 1970s fantasy retro vibe that reminds me of my mom, my youth, and my old magickal adventures.
The other day I found out that a dude on CryptoTwitter has — wait — a crypto-themed version of the Rider-Waite Tarot deck on CounterParty, the famous BTC sidechain that Rare Pepes and Stamps live on.
Whether these become anything more than cool NFT curiosities are anyone’s guess, but damn they look good.
In keeping with my adage collect what you love I want to share them here, along with the links for you to go support this guy.

Go check this dude's stuff out if you’re feeling the vibe.
Freewallet tutorial?
Next time I should probably do a tutorial on how to set up Freewallet since most of this stuff lives on CounterParty, and the best wallet to use is Freewallet.
If you want me to do a tutorial on Freewallet tell me in the comments.
I keep forgetting that even though I’ve been a crypto native for the past 8 years many of my readers are not, so some of this stuff is not self-explanatory.
Thanks for reading.
