Are you afraid to fail? Or do you only consider success without failing?
Some people dream of having a successful life but are afraid to take risks because they don't want to experience failure. In life, it is a matter of how positive we are in journeying to success.
As I took this photo, I was questioning myself, Can I reach my destination?
There is a word that comes into my mind upon reading the guidelines of in his wordvention contest. A word that doesn't exist in any book but was added to my mind's vocabulary. It is something that I always thought about when I'm feeling down. Failuccess is a combination of the words failure and success. In the Merriam dictionary, there are lots of meanings for failure, but this relates to my situation right now. It is a lack of success or failure in business. While success means a favorable or desired outcome.
Let's talk about our failures.
We had several investments before. We joined programs that cost a lot. Due to our eagerness to achieve stable finances, we risk joining different programs made by a group of entrepreneurs. We thought of receiving a big return on investments, but it all failed.
We also tried to grow hogs for three months. Hoping it will also have a big profit. We spent thousands of money on its capital, feeds, and other necessary things needed. But it also failed. It's very hard to argue with our caretaker. It resulted in a negative outcome.
Management has a big role in business. If you can succeed, then good for you. We have different paths in this world. Ours is no luck maybe because we easily give our trust to people. We did not even think of the consequences of helping them. We lend our support either emotional or financial support, but some of them just abuse our goodness.
We cannot take not to help others despite the failures we have encountered. We only hope and pray that if the time comes we need their help, we can count on them too. But sad to say, it is still a failure. Luckily we have those people whom we knew just a while but handed over their way of helping us. Though it's not enough, but atleast it made us feel a little bit relieved.
Do we succeed?
There are times we succeed in doing our plans, like building our own house as I mentioned in my 2nd blog. We had lots of trials and challenges in realizing it, but we succeeded. The plan of my wife of having a small poultry farm, we made it. Though there were circumstances that hampered our business growth, still we considered it a success. That is why we were full of dismay when we came to the point of planning to sell it. If only someone has the guilt in the heart, we can have the best solution for its survival.
We cannot talk about our success of having stable finances right now, but I firmly believe it will come. We have our kids as our strength to pursue our plans. We positively think that maybe failure comes first before the so-called success. We have dealt with a lot of it, so maybe one day success will be in our hands.
Just like this mango tree which was so small when we started building our humble abode. Many of our neighbors said it needs to be cut because it invites negativity. We refuse to do it. We believe it will help protect our home from the strong winds of typhoons and will also give a shed during the increasing heat index which is happening in the Philippines at this time. Now we can see the tree bearing its fruit. From Typhoon Odette up to the El Niño Phenomenon, it stands still.
Are you feeling it too?
Failuccess might be this way, failing many times but will succeed. I am not saying we need to go through a lot of failure before success, as I mentioned above, we differ a lot. This is just a product of my vaccillated thoughts of hope and despair. Though sometimes we feel impatient, let us still hope for better days. Let us keep our faith to the creator. He will always reign above all things.
Thank you for your time.
