When the Spanish built houses in Cuba, there was a low crime rate, so many houses didn’t even have bars on the windows. Over the years, the houses and architecture have been modified to protect these weak spots. My house is one of these examples.
When we moved in, it was an easy target, but my old man, being an exmilitary man, has been correcting every weakness.
He was just about to add a security camera system, but since there’s not much power now, it’s impossible to keep them running 24/7, so he’s looking for new options.
But yes, it’s a very important issue; theft has become quite normal in today’s society (at least in LATAM), and every day it gets harder to acquire goods, so we have to double our efforts
