These are troubled times.
I'm not saying this is regards to principalities and powers.
No, that's not the only worry.
I'm talking about a society that is centered on what you give, what they can milk out of you.
All they do is take.........take.......take till there's nothing left, till you're barely hanging on to the threads of survival.
The truth is, they don't even appreciate you. They don't care about the effort you put in, they don't care about the hurdles you have to cross. They close their eyes to your struggles, all they want is to dine with you the moment you finally cross those borders, to stick with you the moment you finally break those locks. At that moment, they're drawn to you the same way sharks are drawn to the scent of blood in the sea........the way gold coins are pulled to a magnet. Do not mistake that for love, kinship nor friendship.

A wolf can never be friends with the sheep......don't forget that. Like wild beasts, they hunt the good game and devour voraciously, their ravenous appetite evident as the meat is bared to the bone. Then and only then do they walk away, when there's absolutely nothing left.
Disgusting parasites........the whole lot of them.
Sometimes, we open the doors to these blood suckers ourselves. In a bid to be seen and wanted, to feel loved, we often let the wrong people in. People who don't see you, hear you nor understand you. Fair weather friends so to speak, people who can't stand by you when you're caught in the depths of the deep blues, people who can't and won't provide a light to guide you out of the dark. At that point when you're going through rough patches, you can't find anyone to cover up the holes in your path.......none of them reach out to lend a helping hand, to help you regain your balance when you stumble.
It becomes glaringly obvious that you're all alone, left to the vultures like some half eaten carcass by the people you thought you could depend on. When you get to this point, who do you blame?. Them??. When you decide to chase the wind, seek validation from all and sundry and please everyone in your path, what did you think was going to be the outcome?. Trust me when I tell you these things have one end point; you lying flat on your face in disgrace.
Are you a fighter?. Can you put the broken pieces back together?. Can you get up and stand on your feet again?. All of mankind stumbles and falls every now and then but not all of us really get back up. Sometimes, we singlehandedly put out the light illuminating our paths with the wrong choices we make and wrong turns we take on this rough, bumpy and crooked road called life.
It's normal to feel lonely, sad or angry but it's very abnormal when this becomes a regularity, a pattern, a way of life so to speak. It's grossly abnormal when the polar opposites of these crude feelings drop in every now and then like a guest. Everyone deserves happiness, love, peace......not the extreme burden of constantly living with the fear of uncertainties, always shifting through plausible 'what if's' scenarios in your head.
People will always be scared of what they don't understand. It's not hate, just ignorance and unbridled dread caused by their primitive and myopic thinking. My point is, you don't always need to "belong" before you are heard, you don't need everyone's validation, you don't always need to fit in before you stand out. You don't need to be accessible to everyone, learn to conclude and close certain chapters of your book. All of them don't have to like you, they also don't need to understand or predict you.
You're unique, an oddity........the real ones will see your value.
No man is an island, we rise by lifting others but not every season requires company...... remember that. Work on yourself and vibe alone when the situation calls for it. When you do find company, make sure there is no fox in the herd. Let your senses be as sharp as the bloodhound's......sniff them out and eliminate!.
The only person's behavior we can control is our own, the only thing you can use to arm another is information so be careful what you let out. A secret is no longer considered as such the minute it has been heard by another. You'll definitely know that ship isn't meant to sail when every little iceberg on its path threatens to pull it under. Get on the life boat and get out while you still have time, don't be a fool and drown with it.
