Open the door to a better future through continual improvement then walk right on through.
- Me -
You've probably never heard of CI and I'm not sure if AI will give you the right answer if you ask it so I'll use a bit human intelligence and tell you that CI is short for Continual Improvement which is something that every human on the planet should be seeking...but is not. (Not everyone anyway.)
I've had a CI ethos for more years than I can count and looking back at little me when I was a kid I think I always had the concept in mind as I can recall moments of actively working towards it; I'm not saying I'm awesome, just that I had some good examples around me to learn from, parents and all, and then later had strong motivation to seek it as I'd been booted out of home at seventeen-and-a-half and found myself in a harsh environment - the greater world around me and other places - and being the dude who didn't improve wouldn't have worked for me; I'd probably not be here today if I didn't strive to be better each day.
It's ok if you don't like CI, some people don't want to develop, grow and learn and the world needs those people (ok, not really). If you don't want to progress as a human then what the fuck do you want? Anyway, don't answer that.
Here's a few little tips on what a person can do to CI themselves on a massive scale and these things don't even take that much effort so lazy bastards can do it to - although they probably won't.
Read books
Yeah yeah, people don't like doing this because it feels like an effort and wanking seems more fun but having the best advice and learning from the experiences of everyone and everything that's happened in history is a great way to CI the fuck out of yourself.
Podcast like crazy
I'm more of a reader but I use podcasts when I'm driving, in planes or helicopters, at the airport or anywhere waiting for shit to happen...Fuck social media off and podcast decent podcasts not bullshit. Filling in those little gaps in your day and week will pay huge rewards later on in life.
Ask for and accept feedback
You're not always right and you don't know everything, yes you! Also, you don't need compliments, you need constructive critique, from the right people of course, and then focus on those areas of improvement. Feedback isn't an attack, it's a gift you should embrace.
Get your ass onto a course or two
Find the right one and get the fuck on it...learning from professionals and people who really know rather than scrolling on Fakebook will 2X your learning process. That means "double it" or even more.
Get goal oriented
Know your goal(s), make it/them achievable and relevant, and then create a habit of doing one fucken thing a day that moves you closer to it. One thing y'all, that's not so hard right? Just do the right thing and you'll move towards that goal more and more...building momentum along the way.
Back track
I think this is important. It's about going back to things you were passionate about, hobbies for instance, as it helps to break out of the drive towards CI which can be intense. It's a break, a rest for body and mind, and a rediscovery of something you used to do that made you feel joy. Then...get the fuck back on track! The joy you felt will carry you onward and help you stay the course.
Slut around
Ok, not really...just spread yourself around with diverse motivated and positive people. Soar with the eagles, don't stay on the ground with the fucken turkeys. Get social with some good people; it's said a person is the average of the six or seven people they spend the most amount of time with - make them fucken Titans and you'll be sitting pretty on a high average.
Get intimate with change
Everything changes, always; denying that and seeking to stay in place will see you fall behind, far, far behind...way, way back. Embrace change instead, seek it, and your path forward will be smoother and faster. Conquer the fear of failing and of what you don't know, get uncomfortable, that's when the magic happens.
You don't have to CI if you don't want to but you should remember that those who CI will progress and you will not...you'll be the dumb fuck with NFI - no fucken idea - and no one wants to be that person right? Oh, and stop your reliance on AI, those who want to CI will avoid AI or they'll have NFI. And while you're stopping your reliance on AI stop whining like a little bitch as well, take responsibility for yourself.
These are just a few little tips I've used to find continual improvement but they alone will not ensure you CI. It takes effort, ownership, discipline and determination among other things but aren't you worth it, isn't your future worth it and aren't those who rely on you worth it?
What do you reckon? You think you can slut around or get intimate with change? Can you get goal focused? Could you read a book or do a course or listen to a podcast? I know you can. Then back track a bit, find a little gap to enjoy and then back on it y'all!
Feel free to comment if you want. No AI bullshit though.
