How clearly do you see things.
How clearly do you think you see things.
Is what you see what someone wants you to see.
Are you actually seeing the things you think you're seeing.
Is what you're seeing only there so you don't see other things.
You're smart - Right?
You probably think you're switched on to current affairs, the situations that occur locally to you and around the globe and those that you feel have a particular influence or direct impact upon you. Right?
But are you?
Propaganda and misdirection
I've seen a few magicians perform and every time they had a sexy female assistant in a bikini or skimpy outfit beside them and every single time that magician could have performed the most terribly executed trick and I'd have no clue - I was watching the assistant. That's called misdirection.
Propaganda is false and misleading information designed to promote a particular thought or doctrine, view-point or agenda. The government, media and politicians are really good at it but it happens elsewhere like in the corporate world, NGO's, marketing, and pretty much anywhere there's humans trying to influence humans.
Those that seek to promote such things are often very good at it including the aforementioned politicians and media - big pharma is good at it too, as are conspiracy theorists and those seeking to influence others with information which is, well let's just say unsubstantiated at best, and downright false mostly. It's not always easy to spot, but not always difficult to identify either.
You probably think you're switched on to current affairs, the situations that occur locally to you and around the globe and those that you feel have a particular influence or direct impact upon you. Right?
Well, are you?
I'm not one hundred percent certain you, or anyone really is, but I'm pretty sure that most of what you think you know about global affairs is incorrect. Your understanding of things like what a particular President is or is not doing, why a conflict began or continues, or why your government make the decisions they do is based on misdirection and propaganda...and ergo, is baseless.
This, of course, doesn't stop people blabbing on the interwebs and to their friends, (maybe those people aren't friends and only tolerate them to be courteous), about all manner of things that they "know" and that's ok...I mean, I think they probably know sweet fuck all about it and are just big-noting themselves and their opinions, but who am I to tell them they're making a fool out of themselves?
Here's the thing though, they're simply rebroadcasting and spreading the misdirection and propaganda that's got them fooled and bamboozled to others and adding to the problem and meanwhile, the real things that matter are happening, and continues to happen, right beneath their noses and eyes without even a thought or comment...because they don't know about it.
So do people see and know what they think they see and know?
Nope, they do not, when it comes to so many things that affect us on a global scale, and them saying they do doesn't make it so - that's just their hubris and ego talking.
