The Terminator told us that we would be living in a world of machines or maybe Robots, I do not remember because Terminator happened years, nay, decades ago.
Let me look it up. Damn, it happened 40 years ago.
And then there is a popular meme saying we would have flying cars in 2020s. Well we are half way across the 2020s and all we have is malfunctioning EVs, memecoins, tiktok and global oil shortage. But there aint any flying car on the horizon.
The AI fanboys are now telling us in 2025 that we would soon have machines smarter and faster than human beings. Jobs would be gone and robots/machines would replace the workers. Well, looking at the global economy, there aint any jobs to replace with in the first place. Take that Artificial fucking Intelligence. You would be as jobless as the people you intend to replace.
However, coming back to the title of this post, I think machines would not rule us but chargers sure as hell have a good chance to be our rulers.

Look around you, there is a charger for mobile. If you happen to be on Android then there is C type. If you have an iPhone 11, then there is old charger. If you have an iPhone 15 or 16, then there is a different charger.
A separate charger for your watch. Another for your electric toothbrush. Open the drawer and there you have a charger for your laptop and your Kindle reading device.
A separate charger for all the electric toys that you have bought for your child who likes to play with shoes and cardboards. But you gotta charge them toys always because when you do not, then there is the maximum chance of your child wanting to play with that toy. And if the battery has run out, welcome to hell my friend.
For your headphones, a different charger. For your electric steamer to declog your nasal congestion, another damn charger.
I sometimes think that what if these chargers talk to each other and someday decide to strangulate us with their cables. Electric shock for wifi fanbois.
I had this discussion with my ftiend and he gave me an interesting advice: BUY A UNIVERSAL CHARGER
yeah, about damn time to buy another charger.
