LIFE IS UNCERTAIN
In a world that has two faces, the physical and digital world, it is the same that life is uncertain. we don't know what tomorrow will bring. We keep struggling, we keep moving, we chase our dreams but along the way, we encounter maybe challenges, shortages, or unexpected struggles. Our government always reminding us to be resilient and one thing becomes clear, we must learn and learn for us to keep standing, moving and learn to make use what we have.
We see in social media, fancy living like sometimes,I keep thinking, am I the one struggling? Why this people seems in all good terms? When will be the time, I will experience eating in a fancy restaurant, cooking delicious like some are featuring in their social media?
But later on, I realized looking at our simple meals, I am reminded that food does not have to be expensive to be meaningful. A few vegetable in the backyard, cooked with care, can already feed my family. These dishes may look ordinary, but htey carry something important, being resourceful, patience and gratitude. God really bless a grateful heart.
Last Sunday, a family from lowland came to visit us here in our place, and they appreciated the vegetable planted in our backyard. They said, it is really a blessing in our place because we have space to plant, we have plenty of water and the weather is good but in their place, they can't plant this season due to no enough water supply. So, before they went home, they enjoy picking vegetables.
In times of crisis, having a small source of food in our home is really a great blessing not only for us but to others, too.
So, I can say that a backyard garden can become a quiet answer to uncertainty. It reminds us people that while we cannot control everything in life, we can prepare, adapt, and provide for ourselves in simple ways and even extend our helping hands to others by sharing what we have.
Yes life is uncertain, but we have a choice being prepared, adaptive and resilient.
God bless everyone!
