Happy FriYay, Hive Friends! I hope this day finds you well, filled with good vibes and little joys. As we welcome the weekend, I’d love to share a simple yet comforting reflection about my breakfast today—with my loyal companion, Cardo the Chow Chow, by my side.
My mornings always begin with Cardo. Before I prepare my own meal, I make sure he’s fed first. It’s a routine that warms my heart, knowing he’s content and happy.
Afterward, I cooked the leftover rice from last night and turned it into fried rice. To pair with it, I reheated the leftover fried dried fish—crispy, salty, and just the right match. For an extra touch, I cooked a fried egg, which completed the trio perfectly.
Of course, no breakfast of mine is complete without coffee. The warmth of my cup tied everything together, making the meal feel whole.
I enjoyed eating alone, something I’ve grown used to. My family lives a bit far from me, and it’s been two years since I settled here after the developer turned over this house to me as part of my housing loan. Though I often dine solo, mornings like this remind me of the quiet comfort of independence, the joy of savoring simple meals, and the companionship of Cardo who makes my home feel less lonely.
Thank you, Hive Friends, for joining me in this little breakfast reflection. Your presence in my blogging journey makes every post more meaningful. Wishing you all a wonderful FriYay ahead! 💛
