My personal opinion:
I must agree with you in almost everything you say, however I don't think that the problems my generation have are something that we decided to grow inside, but something that the previous generations help us to grow. I agree, we are lazy, and we always want to finish any task quickly, but still want a big reward for something we barley put any interest on. In my personal experience I must be true and say that I myself have some of these nothing-to-be-proud-about characteristics, in my defense I must highlight something key (in this wild environment in Cuba) to this attitudes: We never had the motivation/insurance that we will be rewarded for any work that we could do, no matter how much effort you put on it. Quick example: You might study really hard to accomplish your dream of being a translator, you go to college, you put your heart in everything you do, you graduate and then, "unexpectedly" you end up working in some random place earning around 7 dollars per month which is not enough to survive for a week here, that goes without saying. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining (or maybe i am) I'm just saying that is not fair that they fill your head with dreams when you are a kid and then you grow up to realize that you have to comfort with a miserable life you were not supposed to live. Yet we all have the chance to change our lives, and work in something that fills your heart, it's just that here in Cuba that's not that easy. But yes, we all Gen Z and young Millenials are the shit and we are all fucked up right. I guess you guys (bigger that us) have the life you always dreamed of right?
