The world awakens at the water's edge.
As the sun climbed from the horizon, it set the shore ablaze with the soft, clean light of a new day. I was there to greet it, to feel the quiet energy of the morning. And it seemed I wasn't the only one.
Down the shore, a lone figure was walking right into the golden light. A stranger, lost in his own world.
He moved with a quiet, unhurried rhythm, letting the waves wash over his feet. Each step created a perfect ripple in the liquid mirror of the shore. Watching him, I felt a sense of shared solitude, a silent understanding between two people enjoying the same peaceful moment, worlds apart. In that morning stillness, it felt as if the universe was humming a gentle tune for both of us.
He continued on his way, and I was on mine. I turned to follow the coastline, the fresh light warming my back, the image of the solitary walker fresh in my mind.
Later, looking back at the photos, I saw the trail of footprints he left behind. A story written in the sand, a temporary greeting to the morning before the tide, would wash it clean. It’s a beautiful, humbling reminder that we all walk our own paths, leaving fleeting marks on the world.
This walk was a simple one, but witnessing that quiet moment left me feeling full of hope. It made me wonder...
