I'm sure you've also come across the people that can't seem to compute that though.
I wonder how long it will take for "authorities" to acknowledge the folly of their ways and change the rules toward betterment of humanity?
About as long as it takes for more people to stop being selfish (it is a thing that's entirely possible, but like every other demographic shift in history as noted it just takes way longer than most of the people ahead of the curve want it to, especially if some of those people are still on the instant gratification spectrum and are completely incapable of waiting even a nanosecond for anything).
