Assalamu Alaikum, everyone. Hope you're all doing well. So, a few days ago, I had this breakfast moment I wanted to share. My mornings usually start with prayer right after I wake up. I hang around at home for a bit, then head off to work. I am factory supervsor eight until three. Once I get back home in the afternoon, I take a shower, pray again, and eat. Honestly, after a good meal, I just want to lie down for a while. That afternoon nap hits differently. I know some people aren’t fans of sleeping during the day, but for me, it just feels right.

I decided to head out for a walk that afternoon. I like being outside around that time—something about walking when the sun’s not so harsh just feels right. That day, I wandered from our house all the way to the riverbank. The river’s pretty dry now, not a drop of water left, but honestly, that makes it kind of interesting. You can just stroll along where the water used to be, and the whole place feels different. After a while, I ended up near some shops by the river. While I was there, my madrasa teacher spotted me and called me over. When I saw him, I took a seat in the shop with him.

Another worker from our factory showed up. The shop actually belongs to our factory worker’s brother. The worker’s younger son came along too, tagging behind him. He kept insisting I try the hot puri. Honestly, they love eating hot puri with raab. We get really fresh raab here, and lots of people pair it with hot roti or other snacks. But honestly, it’s just more fun with puri. So, the I ordered hot puri for all of us.

Back then, we all sat down together and just enjoyed ourselves—hot puri, fresh raab, the works. There’s something about eating together that just makes the whole thing better, you know? In the village, you actually get snacks like that, straight from the kitchen. Fresh raab tastes amazing.
After the puri, we hung around, sipping tea and chatting. Breakfast turned into a long conversation. Eventually, we prayed and headed home. Once I got back, I spent some time with my daughter, goofing around and playing little pranks on her. That’s pretty much how my day went.
