Every job has its own hazards. It is just what it is. Seeing someone go through pain in the process of putting food on the table and supporting their family can be touching. Many people work tirelessly just to ensure their loved ones do not go without proper meals. It will surprise you to see what some people go through just to survive each day.
Every job matters
What is the oddest job someone can take up? It is most likely going to be a menial job like cleaning, janitorial work, as some people call it, or working as a gateman in an organisation or institution. However, every job certainly matters. If we do not have cleaners in an organisation, such a place will quickly become dirty and disorganised.
The only difference between menial jobs and typical professional jobs is that professional roles usually require specific skills and training, whereas many people can perform menial jobs. Apart from that, everyone performs their own independent function in society.
Every job has its own hazard
Most jobs you see out there have their own shortcomings and tiring moments. As a teacher, for instance, you have to deal with students’ excesses. Many times, you must also keep proper records of students and other documents. A teacher often becomes a judge, an advocate, and a counsellor in order to manage students effectively.
At times, teachers also have to deal with management and even parents. Some parents can be very difficult and may create confusion when matters concern their children.
In every job we do, we must be careful
Being careful can not be overemphasised, and professionalism should be maintained at all times. If a teacher is careless, he or she may jeopardise the future of the students under their care.
Some people think that only professions like medicine have hazards. However, the teaching profession is also delicate because teachers shape the lives of future leaders and professionals in different fields.
We know that a mistake made by medical personnel may result in catastrophe or even the loss of a patient’s life. Likewise, teaching is delicate because it involves shaping the minds and futures of young people.
No job should be looked down upon. Everyone deserves respect for their hustle. There is no need to shame anyone because of the work they do to put food on the table, as long as it is legitimate and helps them take care of their family.
