Many of us do not like to complain or see people complaining around us. That is normal, and it is something we all need to guard against. Complaining or nagging does not really solve anything; it does not bring about any solution whatsoever. If we complain without following it up with the actions that can propel us forward positively, then such a complaint can simply be described as ranting.
Humans will complain and lament
There is no way humans will not lament or complain when they see things being done in a way that is not palatable to them, especially when they expect the right decisions to be made.
In a country like ours, just like in many other countries of the world, the cost of living is actually killing the living. It is difficult for a large percentage of people to feed these days. It is not easy at all. People are barely surviving. It is like living from hand to mouth, and it is just so frustrating. It is what it is, and the masses keep suffering from the decisions of the few in the helm of affairs. What, then, can we do to make things better?
Good leaders are made
It is important to have good leaders who are ready to bear the pain of the people and serve them better. But in a situation where we have a leader who does not really care, what do we do? It is only a few people who are holding the majority to ransom. It is just what it is.
Not long ago, our president addressed us and said that he could feel our pain, but I disagree because I do not think they truly do. They are not going through any real difficulties, as they get all they need on a platter of gold. It is just what it is. It is shameful to hear from our president that we are only going through the baby steps of hardship and that we have not really seen anything yet. Then the question is: Is it until all of us die?
A country deserves the leader it gets
The truth is that the kind of leader we get is often a reflection of who we are as a nation. When a nation is corrupt, its leaders will most likely be corrupt, too. There is really no other way around it. If the people are good, then they are more likely to have good leaders to guide them.
But in our case, both leaders and many of the people only care about stomach infrastructure, where politicians often give people peanuts during elections and all that. After the election, you hardly hear anything from them again.
