Why do we make life difficult for ourselves? Why do we normalize what is not normal? And why are we all hypocrites? Why do we make available the very things we know will cause harm to people? Why do we normalize abnormality?
We need to begin asking ourselves serious questions and answer them honestly and truthfully. We complain, yet we do nothing. Can all humans live in harmony? Can’t we bridge the gap between the rich and the poor? Can’t we make education accessible to everyone? Can we preach truthfulness without the fear of being harmed? Can we live truthfully and make life better for everyone?
Why is evil the order of the day? Why is it that when you visit prisons, men are far more in number than women? Why do we keep making laws, yet create avenues for people to break them, only to punish them afterward? Why do we sell arms to people who will use them to oppress others and cause mayhem? Why do we create confusion all in the name of making sales? Why do we glorify evil while treating peace as less important? Why is societal pressure so overwhelming, especially on men?
Why can’t we have an egalitarian society? Can’t wealth and opportunities be made more accessible to everyone? Can’t we stop turning life into a competition and mocking those who fail or do not succeed?
What is the way forward?
People clamour for homosexuality as though individuals were created that way from heaven. I do not think anyone is born a prostitute, a drug addict, or anything similar. Life happens to people, and circumstances shape many of these outcomes.
I often say that it is not easy to become what you have never seen before. There is usually a process, a procedure, or examples of people who have done something similar in the past, which others then leverage on to build what they want. Society has normalized what is abnormal, and when you speak against it, you are labeled all sorts of names. It is a shame and nothing more.
The moral decadence in the world has reached an alarming level. The evidence is everywhere today. You see children destroying things, and when you try to correct or scold them, you are called names or could even get arrested. Another problem is that society places too much respect on money and glorifies wealth to the extent that people hardly value you if you do not possess material things. It is a shame that this is what our world has turned into.
Things were different in the past because people asked questions and held certain values dearly, but now many people have become indifferent. Back then, people valued the kind of work you did because they believed your profession reflected the kind of income you would earn. But now, the reverse seems to be the case, and it is unfortunate.
The evolution of the world has also made things more complicated, as there are now ways to make money and work without necessarily being in an office. Times are changing, and people are changing with them.
Why do we keep making life difficult for ourselves and for others? Why can’t there be peace and harmonious living? Why can’t we correct one another in love and live peacefully with all people? Why is the world in so much disarray? You hear and see people fighting over minor and insignificant things. It is sad and shameful.
Every one of us wants to acquire wealth so that we will not be oppressed or looked down upon in the struggle of life.
