Ladies and Gentlemen

Today I published another Audio Track as NFT on nfttunz.io. Maybe you notice a bit of an 80s Funk vibe. That's because I really love the specific sound when tracks are composed with older analog synths.

Also a big fan of samplers, which I use to create a different style from the track above.

This track was featured in a documentary called Battlefort. It's about kids from Dharavi and how Hip Hop with it's elements and elaborated music as an urban subculture in India was really started by breakers. It's funny to have witnessed that before any of the elements came together, most of what was known and associated with hip hop was pop music. Once these elements came together it sparked fire that lead to an explosion of a subculture that transcends language bridging geographic distances as well as creative art forms.

This doc plays in 2011 in Mumbai.

I used to DJ in Mumbai back in 2007 with a motto :
"elaborated music for sophisticated minds"

This was first coined by a rapper named Polemik.

I really liked that, because you could really choose if you'd play some banal main stream pop, violent gangster rap or if you'd rather prefer to stick to some tribe called quest or masta ace instead, when you were deejaying at a club.

Also mentioned in the Documentary is Sethi X, who grew up in SF. He made a great music video featuring the Sikh martial arts Gadka and Nihang Sikh warriors with some profound metaphorical punch lines contained in his lyrics.
