As you may now from my previous posts, I'm spending some time with my family at our cabin in the Norwegian mountains (Fidjeland, Sirdal to be precise).
We're lucky enough to have this place with an amazing view from the terrace, which I've come to appreciate more and more as I've gotten older, busier, and more frequently in the need for a break.
So while I still enjoy walking every day, finding time to also just sit with a book, something to drink, and most importantly: no screens or distracting technologies nearby, has become a staple in my day. I literally view it as a form of therapy, both physically for my eyes primarily to get away from the constant work in front of a computer screen, as well as mentally to just observe what's beautiful right in front of me without judgement or getting lost in thought.
It's funny how little time it takes to notice the mind getting clearer, and my ability to concentrate getting sharper, as a result. Makes you wonder why one haven't been better at doing this long before.
