This is a magnificent stadium where many events are held but is mainly known for being the original home of the BC Lions (American) football club and subsequently the home of the Vancouver Whitecaps football (soccer) club. Games for the women's world cup were also held in this venue when the event was held in Canada. I was lucky to attend one of the games, inside was like a bowl of steaming soup because the smoke from the forest fires was trapped in the semi-enclosed space. It's architecture is impressive and dominates the city's skyline. No matter where you are, BC Place stands sphinxlike watching over the city.
