In this photo you can see the valley of the Yaghnob River, the river itself and the village of Margheb (or Margib), hidden behind the trees between the hills. The settlement has been standing on this site since time immemorial, almost 4 thousand years.
The sun rises from behind the sheer rock wall of Zamin-Karor (on the right), it belongs to the Zarafshan Range in the Pamir mountain system. The height of the Zamin-Karor is on average 4700 meters above sea level. A huge colossus, climbers like to visit there. Only 70 kilometers away is the capital of the country, the city of Dushanbe, but looking at this landscape, it is not easy to believe in it.
It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.
