La catedral de Caracas
La Catedral Metropolitana de Santa Ana o Catedral de Caracas, se encuentra ubicada en el centro histórico de la ciudad en la Parroquia Catedral del Municipio Libertador, junto a la reconocida Plaza Bolívar de Caracas, su estilo arquitectónico es Neoclásico y su construcción fue aproximadamente en 1.665 hasta 1.674.
Es una iglesia modesta, sencilla, pero hermosa, cálida y acogedora…
Viví muchos años a dos cuadras de la Catedral, escuchar sus campanadas a ciertas horas del día era maravilloso, mis paseos matutinos bordeaban la plaza y la catedral, es una zona muy concurrida y llena de actividades, era imposible estar en el centro y no acercarse a la catedral.
Desde mi apartamento se veía la catedra, y desde mi ventana podía apreciar la cúpula, ya no estoy en Venezuela, pero pudiera llegar con los ojos cerrados hasta la iglesia, cierro los ojos y escucho sus campanadas y la algarabía de las personas, tomarme mi café desde mi ventana y ver el reloj inmenso que me daba la hora y me indicaba que hacer, llenaba de cotidianidad mi día y hoy en un recuerdo.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Santa Ana or Cathedral of Caracas, is located in the historic center of the city in the Cathedral Parish of the Libertador Municipality, next to the renowned Plaza Bolívar in Caracas, its architectural style is Neoclassical and its construction was approximately carried out in 1665 until 1674.

I lived for many years two blocks from the Cathedral, listening to its chimes at certain times of the day was wonderful, my morning walks bordered the square and the cathedral, it is a very busy area full of activities, it was impossible to be in the center and not get close to the cathedral.
From my apartment you could see the cathedral, and from my window I could appreciate the dome, I am no longer in Venezuela, but I could go to the church with my eyes closed, I close my eyes and listen to its bells and the hubbub of the people, take my coffee from my window and see the huge clock that told me the time and told me to fill myself with everyday life and today in memory.
