Since it's the start of my weekend, I thought of putting up an extra post. This time around, it's an update from my city garden. We have limited space in the city, so ours is a container garden of sorts. If you have viewed any of my #iamalivechallenge videos, you may have seen our city garden. A few weeks back, I planted the second batch of cat grass seeds. I recycled that ice cream container to serve as a plant pot. Now, it's ready to be taken outside for the cats to enjoy.
I ordered this flowering vine that I repotted into one of our available pots. This, according to the seller, is a scented rangoon creeper. I have seen pretty photos of it in full bloom. I can't wait until it is fully grown. I hope that it will cover up the entire terrace garden grills eventually.
This purple sand vine looks so lovely in full bloom. I do hope I would be able to grow it properly. Some photos online show that it can grow really widespread along garden trellises. I would love to have purple flowers once it's fully grown.
Here's the complimentary freebie plant that I got from the flowering vine seller. This is a spider plant. I've heard of it, as it has become popular these times, as more folks turned to plants and gardening during the lockdown. It's ideal for indoors. I'm keeping it in indirect sunlight for now, as I wait for more space inside the flat to move my spidey (my nickname for the plant).
It's still too early to see progress from my three new plants. However, there is an unfortunate condition for my jade plant. I'm quite sad that it seems to be dying. Uh-oh! And my daughter has been helping me out with jade. 😝😝 for now, I brought her outside and placed her beside spidey. I hope to nurse her back to good health, so she can go back indoors. Now, I have realized how challenging gardening truly is. I have much to learn. Tsk tsk.
Tomorrow, I plan to work on some rearrangement in my city garden. I believe I have a dead plant to remove. But that update will be for next time. Perhaps I can make a once a week post about the progress of my garden. That should motivate me to do my best for the plants. 😉👍🏼 See you soon for more updates! Enjoy your weekend!
