Coding used to my every breath...
It still is in some ways; but 2nd GL and 3rd GL languages has been something that I have pretty much lost ever since I left my 486 CPU and dived into Visual Basic 6 with an Intel Pentium 4.
Now I am back, after struggling for 2 FULL DAYS to reinstall the C++ interface for Visual Studio that doesn't screw up with my older version web development interfaces; and finally, I can create a new project with now horrible run time error even at loading phase.
Virtual Studio has been pretty useful for me in simple Web development; but when it comes to upgrades; it does a really poor job remembering that programmers do need to keep different versions of source codes for maintenance until it is full upgraded; and sometimes, new projects do not need old interfaces; and the Windows preference library default settings screws up remarkably well when we need to preserve our C partition for Operating System; and have an extra partition for everything else before the entire drive dies suddenly in a heart attack.
That's the Windows screwed up life.
Don't ask me about why I am not coding in Linux; because client base aren't using that at the moment haha.
A new journey
I might be sort of hiatus from interactions except posting once a while; but I have been a bit of hiatus of late ever since real life necessity takes over.
After a few search, couple of bumps and manage to get this added into the C++ Desktop template.
Not too shabby... I didn't break the whole thing and have to chuck it aside and reload a new project.
But this is pretty bad. I think I haven't growl and cuss and use so much negative words in one session, and writing so much frustration here for a long time from my last ranting ... almost 2 years ago. haha.
This is literally college nightmare all over again... C++ is my Achille's heel.
The positive side
I have noticed that there are other packages like Node.js in its availability, perhaps in my break time I actually sneak in and look through Node.js coding and see what I can do for the steem blockchain in the future.
This could be a blessing in disguise. Who knows, right?
In the mean time, any of my #steemfest family members who are PRO in C++ and do not mind giving this old lady some refresher course, please do so! My memory is lapsing from multiple partitions of everything! haha!
Maybe ,
,
or even my arch angel big brother can point some light haha... I know my #teammalaysia engine core team is rolling their eyes
Crying here... of all programming languages... C++ is the subject I failed the most times... Funny I was totally fine with C
Until then
