This brings me to my last travel post for the month and my very last adventure for the month as well ^^ After Caramoan, we had to rest early and depart from the city at 1am the following day. Getting to Albay was another series of suffering I was made to endure because for one, the coordinator squeezed herself in between me and my siblings, and if that wasn't bad enough, she slept throughout the trip with her limbs on us. She basically slept like a starfish and kept leaning against me, and she was heavy af. I was thinking of how much of a pig she is when she started snoring. And this was basically my situation for until we got home.
Anyway, one of the first stops we had while heading to Albay was this pretty church. We were there at around 6am and it was just a few ways away from the ATV center
Then I forgot that we stopped by a light house that had a bit of a hike up but a very beautiful view of the edge of Luzon ^^ I loved that place and it was nice because it wasn't so hot at like 7am. I couldn't really appreciate it as much without any coffee in my system and very little sleep because of the situation I was in.
at 8am, we finally had our breakfast and I finally got to have my morning coffee XD And from that point on, I was pretty happy and energetic. It was good to be energetic again because I needed all that energy for the ATV ride. Please note that it was my first time riding such a vehicle, but apparently, the instructor and guide said I was a pretty good driver. And on the ATV trail, you could choose between the black lava trail and the green lava trail. They both take different routes to get to the foot of M.t Mayon, but we chose the green lava trail because it was a lot calmer than black lava. cuz they said black lava was a little more extreme.
So there's me trying to be a little more confident in myself while posing for photos
So we basically finished the ATV exploration at around 11pm then we made our way to Cagsugawa, which isn't so far from the trails. It used to be a church but during the last volcanic eruption, the town and it's church got buried in lava and ash and only the top of the bell tower remained. I couldn't explore the ruins of the church much because I was distracted by the mini gallery the locals set up to support their local artists. It was a nice community project for them because they can showcase local talents in such a way that really benefits the artists.
Then of course, what is a trip to Bicol if you're not going to try the local pili nut delicacies and their chili ice cream!
So this ice cream really is spicy and the level has a range of its own. So I went with a level 2 strawberry one and my mom and sister went with a level 2 plain one that was the original chili ice cream
After that, we all just went souvenir shopping. I got a ton of treats for my boyfriend and I got him a small travel bag that was hand stitched with abaka fiber. It was a sturdy looking bag that I really liked. As of now, he's been using it when we go out or when he does small errands and that made me happy ^^
The last stop on this trip was the Camarines Water Complex and Pena Franca church, but I was seriously so tired out and so irritable to even think of getting a photo of either. But after all of that, we had to travel back to Manila and that was an excruciating 12 hour drive. Much shorter than the getting there part, but Al the same, I still couldn't sleep properly.
And this concludes my travel saga for the month ^^
May I have a few more trips next month too! Anyways, thanks so much for stopping by guys! I hope you're still around for when I go back to my artist self. I'll se you guys again soon!
