Hello, internet people! A few weeks ago, Yooni, my Korean friend went on holiday to Jeju Island in South Korea and knowing that I am a lover of his country and culture, he took some very nice pictures for me that I want to share with you today. First of all I want to tell you that I clearly have his permission to use his photos in this post and whose proofs I will attach at the end of the post.
Yooni explained to me that next to Busan, Jeju is a very popular tourist area and it's visited by many people (from all over the world but mostly Asians as expected) and belongs to the 7 natural wonders of the world.
Thanks to its remoteness from the rest of the country, let's just say that Jeju has not fallen prey to the massive construction caused by industry and commerce. Jeju's charm lies in the huge nature it is made up of and this is what attracts most people to the island. Its flora and fauna is beautiful and there are even botanical gardens where you can see even more of it.
It's a volcanic island which makes the soil quite fertile and contributes to the diversity of flora and beautiful natural geological formations.
It has the highest peak in the country which belongs to a dormant volcano with a lake in its crater. The lava vents of the ancient volcano are now caves that are visited by millions of tourists every year.
All over the island you can see statues sculpted from volcanic rocks called Harubang, meaning Elders which according to the locals, protect the place.
Due to the fact that he travelled alone and the shyness of Korean men in general, Yooni took more landscape pictures than selfies, but he did ask some tourists and locals to take some pictures of him. He certainly enjoyed his trip and we promised one day to go together with a friend of mine who also fell in love with the island.

Actually seeing more detailed and first hand photos made me fall head over heels in love with Jeju, it is a destination I hope to go to at some point. That's it for today's post folks, I hope you liked it. Thank you very much as always for supporting my work, I welcome new readers, I love you all very much, I send you a hug and I'll see you in another post.
