Ujišťuji, že to není fotka ze ZOO. Farma byla obrovská, tak velká, že na pozorování jsme jezdili autem a to nejsme líný. Na bližší lokace jako cca do 1/2 hodiny pěšky jsme chodili v tom příšerném vedru bez váhaní. Přeci jen pěší safari je nejlepší. Na farmě už desítky let nezastřelili žádné zvíře a bylo to znát. Tam kde byla cesta pro auto, v lese i mimo tak se šlo po cestě a ta byla víceméně bez listí. Uvnitř lesů je ovšem vysoká vrstva suchého listí. Tady v Pantanalu stejně jako jsem to viděl v Amazonii. To znamená, že potichu se nikam nedostanete. Ptáci stejně jako zvěř zmizí. Proto farmy kam jezdí turisti mají v lese síť cestiček. Obvykle okruh nebo "zkratku" ze silnice do logde nebo na jinou silnici. A ty cestičky umetou koštětem jako když uklízíte byt. Mě to taky přišlo strašně divné, jedu přeci do divočiny, ale je to super nápad a funguje to. Nosál se spokojeně válel na sluníčku a odkráčel až jsme všichni měli fotky a to zrcadlovky dělají hrozný hluk. Ale jak říkam, po něm nikdo nestřílel a praděda mu říkal to samé.
I assure you it's not a photo from the zoo. The farm was huge, so big that we drove for observation and we are not lazy. We went to closer locations, such as about 1/2 hour on foot, in the terrible heat without hesitation. After all, a walking safari is the best. They hadn't shot any animals on the farm for decades, and it was obvious. Where there was a road for a car, in the woods and out there was a road and it was more or less without leaves. However, there is a high layer of dry leaves inside the forests. Here in the Pantanal, just like I saw in the Amazon. That means you won't get anywhere quietly. Birds as well as deer disappear. That is why the farms where tourists go have a network of paths in the forest. Usually a circuit or "shortcut" from the road to the logde or to another road. And they sweep the paths with a broom as if you were cleaning an apartment. It also sounded really weird to me, I'm going to the wilderness, but it's a great idea and it works. Nosal rolled contentedly in the sun and walked away until we all had photos and the SLRs make a terrible noise. But as I say, no one shot at him and his great-grandfather told him the same thing.
