We all love nature, there is not a person in this world who has not succumbed to the beauty of a flower, a bird or a natural landscape. How nice it is to be able to admire nature created by God.
Todos amamos la naturaleza, no hay persona en este mundo que no haya sucumbido a la belleza de una flor, un ave o un paisaje natural. Qué bonito es poder admirar la naturaleza creada por Dios.
Today I come to present you something very beautiful, it is a project that my brother undertook about two years ago; it is a coffee farm; my brother bought these lands that were very abandoned and immediately began to prepare them, to weed them with this vision or this soil to sow or cultivate coffee.
Hoy vengo a presentarles algo muy bonito, es un proyecto que emprendió mi hermano hace como dos años; se trata de una finca cafetalera; mi hermano compro estas tierras que estaban muy abandonadas y de inmediato comenzó a prepararlas, desmalezarlas con esta visión o este suelo de sembrar o cultivar el café.
Everything was born when my brother went to work for 4 months to the municipality of El Socorro, department of Santander Colombia, there he was received in a coffee farm and it was there where his dream of having something like this someday but in our land was born. There in Colombia he reinforces what we learned in our childhood and adolescence when our parents and grandparents harvested coffee.
Todo nace a partir de que mi hermano se va a trabajar por 4 meses al Municipio El Socorro, departamento de Santander Colombia, allá lo reciben en una finca cafetalera y es donde le nace su sueño de tener algo así algún día pero en nuestra tierra. Allá en Colombia refuerza lo que aprendimos en nuestra niñez y adolescencia cuando nuestros padres y abuelos cosechaban el café.
They say that you have to take the good things out of the bad and here in my country Venezuela we were going through a difficult situation, my brother is one more of those who have to leave his family to go to distant lands to send the sustenance of the home, Thank God he did well and learned many good things over there. He brought all his experiences with him and as soon as he could he bought this land, planted it and the coffee plants are already growing and soon we will be able to drink coffee cultivated by my brother.
Dicen que hay que sacar las cosas buenas de lo malo y es que aquí en mi país Venezuela estábamos atravesando una situación difícil, mi hermano es uno más de los que tiene que abandonar a su familia para irse a tierras lejanas para enviar el sustento del hogar, Gracias a Dios le fue bien y aprendió muchas cosas buenas por allá. Todas sus experiencias las trajo consigo y apenas pudo compró estos terrenos, sembró y ya las matas de café están creciendo y pronto podremos tomar café cultivado por mi hermano.
It is a great pride for me to be able to show you these images in this post. It has not been easy, my brother has had to struggle alone to cut many trees to clear the land for cultivation.
Es para mí un orgullo enorme poder mostrarles estas imágenes en este post. No ha sido fácil, mi hermano ha tenido que luchar solo para cortar muchos árboles y así limpiar el terreno para cultivar.
There is something that I like a lot about this farm and it is the old house, made of mud, my brother Américo has repaired many things, he fixed the roof and wants to keep it intact. It also has a stream that runs through one of the sides and with that he has water all year round to irrigate his crops.
Hay algo que me gusta mucho de esta finca y es su casa antigua, hecha de barro, mi hermano Américo la ha reparado muchas cosas, le arreglo el techo y quiere conservarla intacta. También tiene un arroyo que pasa por uno de los costados y con eso tiene el agua asegurada durante todo el año para regar sus cultivos.
Thank God my brother has a family that supports him, in the pictures we can see his daughter and granddaughters. Of course his best friend and guard dog Brandy is not to be missed.
Gracias a Dios mi hermano cuenta con una familia que lo apoya, en las imágenes podemos ver a su hija y sus nietas. Por supuesto no puede faltar su mejor amigo y perro guardián Brandy.
My brother tells me that he has planted many trees since coffee requires freshness and shade. He has also planted an important amount of seeds since he will soon be planting another lot on the farm. As you can see it is not easy and it is a work of time and effort, but I ask God to continue giving him life and health to fulfill his dream. Here in my country coffee costs a lot of money so I think it is a good business he is doing.
Me cuenta mi hermano que ha dejado muchos árboles ya que el café requiere frescura y sombra. También tiene sembrada una cantidad de semilla importante ya que dentro de poco va a sembrar otro lote de la finca. Como ven no es fácil y es un trabajo de tiempo y esfuerzo, pero le pido a Dios que le siga dando vida y salud para cumplir su sueño. Aquí en mi país el café cuesta mucho dinero entonces creo que es un buen negocio el que él está haciendo.
