Good day beautiful people of hive and lovers of nature, this is my first time of posting into this prestigious community #amazingnature. Today I will like to share my knowledge about the ongoing contest in this great community about NATURE
Nature is any special, beautiful and meaningful creature found in a particular place. It can be animals, flowers, plants, rocks etc.
My best nature experience is when I travelled for my final year project in the university, I am a geologist by profession so my final year projects deals with analysing of rock and the minerals content in it, where we go to the field and study the geological and petrographic studies of the study area. It was fun and was amazing as I saw different kind of things and the experience was one of the top notch in my memory.
In every stop we must take coordinates to know our location on the map that is the longitude and latitude of our location
At this point we are examine the different types of rock found in that locality and know the geological condition and the accessibility of the the study area maybe sedimentary terrain or basement complex.
The topography of the study area is undulating in its nature with the schist facies forming the lowland while the gneiss forms the hills and ridges. The drainage pattern of the study area is dendritic. The drainage of the study area is controlled by relief, topography and geology, where streams run through the heterogeneous rocks joining almost at right angles to each other thereby forming a tree like structure which later empty into the river. Some of the streams are seasonal, they dried up during the dry season only to rejuvenate during the raining season

An outcrop of pegmatite showing a xenolith and fault on pegmatite rock the dark part is the xenolith.
This is a Granitic rock showing Quartz vein cutting across it.
The Petrographic and structural studies of the study area shows that the area is part of the Basement Complex of Nigeria and is characterized by hilly and undulating rocks which consists of gneisses, schists, and quartzites which have been intruded by granites and pegmatites.
Thank you all for stopping by and checking my post, you are all wonderful family here on hive.
