Happy Sunday!
This is a day for reflection, take a minute to review, revive and renew. Life is so challenging now, bless those parents who have to teach their children what was left up to the teachers, the pros, who know how to teach, pre -corona virus.
Not all are ready to fill that position...
So many parents are being challenged during this stressful time.
How can we expect moms and dads to suddenly become teachers. I say that in the most respectful way, teachers allowed me the freedom to move forward in my career. They were the nurturers' of my children's minds.
Those Teachers became my friends
I was fortunate to have a job that was a 24/7 operation. I worked shifts, some daytime, some evenings, some graveyard. Worked great for me, sleep was something that I thought I could/would catch up on down the road. Money was my main goal.
Having this freedom to stay in touch with my children's teachers was such a great gift. I really understood the challenges of teachers. I became the class mother for the ages. Every year since my oldest son entered kindergarten, I was selected as class mother. HUM??
Since we lived in the suburbs, Ringwood NJ. A quite lake community, with some wealth, most of the moms worked full time.
Hence my role as class mom with flexibly in my availably in my professional life.
It could have not been more perfect. I was very involved with my children's primary educations. Being the class mother, I was involved in every way . First and foremost, I had the privilege's of getting to know my children's teachers.
Most were wonderful, with passion for their profession, a few were those that I thought should go. But I always supported those educators who knew HOW to educate.
It was all about the kids.
When I would attend meetings about school rules or about home town elections, I made sure I was in attendance. I would talk to the other moms about who should be elected to the school board or which superintendent will benefit our children most. It was all about information. Getting involved, making your present known, showing your passion.
Bottom line during this pandemic
Support educators, they provide your best defense of NOT being there. They will be your lifeline to knowing your children . They will be the people who will shape the minds of our future.
Trust them, support them, and get to know them.
They to have their story , they have kids too.
Moms have strength and influence, make your voice heard. Keep it local, you have a voice.
Amen
I cannot overlook...
Such a beautiful day!
With gray skies and rain for the last five days,, the sun came out and enlightened my spirit. Such a #beautifulsunday, a #sublimesunday.
Check out our sunrise and sunset...
Haven't seen this in a while
Check out the light that is coming into Robin's Sunroom. Our newest addition to our farm.
blue skies, promising a beautiful sky tonight.
This is #amazingnature at it's best. Catching both sunrise and sunset on the same day with such incredible skies, phew, today was awesome.
As the sun sets spied a glow in the sky that was so beautiful, a moon that was glowing as we had never seen before.
This moon was showing itself before the sun had set. So bright, so wonderful, so full, just breathtaking to watch.
Jumping on my quad, I pursued that light, driving in pursuit of a capture of this beautiful light.
Once I was able to see beyond the mountains...the light shone through.
The unexpected...
Such a brilliant and beautiful moon, well before nightfall
So lovely is our world,
To the moon and back.
Peace to all.
