While visiting my son's family last weekend I had the opportunity to share an extraordinary experience, one that was right before our eyes, yet we almost missed it. I was in New Jersey babysitting my grand daughters so my son and daughter-in-law could work. Their nanny was on vacation and they were in a pinch. When they asked me to come down for a few days, it was almost apologetic. They didn't want to over burden me but they could use some help.
My response was, of course, I would cherish that time with those beautiful little girls.
I am an early riser, so I was able to hug my son before he left for work an 6am, then do the same with my daughter-in-law at 7. My cherubs slept through it all, not waking until 9:30 am. I didn't know what to do with myself. So I posted on #hive, read some great comments and upvoted as many of my friends as I could. What a great start to my day.
Then the #birds woke up.
I heard the chirps of the baby robins just outside the front door, it was a constant cry, unmistakable, these baby birds were hungry.
When the girls woke up, it was cereal and fruit, then it was an observation of #amazingnature. I couldn't wait to show them what "Grammy " had found.
Their reaction was priceless, talk about innocents, and exhilaration, it was squeals and laughter. I had to calm them down with a shhhh, "we don't want to scare them."
And they did exactly that, my sweet Peyton told her sister, with a hug by the way, we love them, so be quiet Jordyn. I couldn't be happier, those girls filled my heart with joy.
Peyton was all about watching for the mama robin to come to feed her babies.
While Jordyn was just happy to stand in the window to see "birdies". Ya gotta love this stuff.
We then talked about #nature and creatures on our planet, how we must love all life on earth. How it's so important to like even bugs, then Peyton said she didn't like ants. Point is, teach your children well, impress upon them the balance of nature, all life is here for a purpose. Respect all living things and get along.
Admire what mother nature has given us .
Enjoy life.
It's amazing.
Shout out to , nature lover of epic proportion.
Thank you my friend, nature can teach us many things.
Peace, love, and friendship.
