In Winter a lot of animals struggle to find food due to frozen soil and therefore a clever mouse like this was inteligent enough to search for seeds at the bird feeder. It was there only for a few secondas and I was happy enough to get some shot of the mouse. I waited several minutes for it to reapear but it didn't really show up again in a ressonable time before I gave up. I had the luck that a mouse was visiting the bird feeder to feed on the seeds that fell on the floor when the birds picked them. The mouse was not only eating the seeds but also collected some for later. It was running up and down and after it left for some minutes it returned.
The birds dropped a lot of seeds to the ground and this was important for mice like these to also get a share of the important meal in winter.
