Back in 2020 I saw an article about frozen flower photography on Pinterest and I had to try it myself since the pictures really looked very interesting an beautiful. So I went outside picked some flowers andput them into the freezer for some hours. When the water was frozen I took them out of the freezer and made several photography shots of the flowers. And I am pretty happy with all the results. It looks really interesting and I definitely need to repeat this very soon. Maybe in some weeks when the first flower start to bloom I can make some more pictures of different flowers that I freeze in the freezer.
But the difficulty is to get a Ice that is both transparent and has enough bubbles to create an interesting effect. I heard that boiling water before freezing it helps to make it very clear. But if it is 100% clear the interesting effect with the bubbles and the structures that make the Ice interesting will dissapear. So maybe I need to try to do a freezing in 2 steps, first clear ice and then Ice with bubbles or vis versa. This is definitely worth a little bit of experimentation. Then I also want to try different flowers to get some nice colorful results. Maybe a red flower would be very good.
Then maybe also trying different kind of water, mineral water, tap water and distilled water can also lead to some interesting different effects.
