Saludos queridos amantes de la fotografía
Greetings dear photography lovers
El día de hoy aunque no lo crean, le traigo toda una heroína del reino de los insectos, al menos para nosotros los humanos. Ustedes se preguntarán el ¿por qué?, pues resulta que estas pequeñas amigas nos ayudan a eliminar de nuestros hogares a nuestras grandes enemigas las cucarachas.
Today, believe it or not, I bring you a heroine from the insect kingdom, at least for us humans. You may wonder why, because it turns out that these little friends help us to eliminate our big enemies the cockroaches from our homes.
Se trata nada más y nada menos que de la Avispa Evania o Avispa Bandera, este pequeño insecto parasitario es conocido a nivel científico como Avispa Evania appendigaster. Forma parte de la familia Evaniidae, conformado por aproximadamente 20 géneros y unas 400 especies.
It is none other than the Evania Wasp or Flag Wasp, this small parasitic insect is known scientifically as the Evania Appendigaster wasp. It is part of the family Evaniidae, consisting of approximately 20 genera and about 400 species.
Recientemente fue que me di cuenta de la existencia de este curioso insecto y cuando la vi mi instinto me llevo a tratar de eliminarla. Mi esposo me detuvo en el acto y me dijo que no la matara porque ella no era peligrosa, por el contrario era de mucha ayuda, ya que, eliminaba los huevos de cucaracha.
Recently I realized the existence of this curious insect and when I saw it my instinct led me to try to eliminate it. My husband stopped me on the spot and told me not to kill it because it was not dangerous, on the contrary, it was very helpful, since it eliminated the cockroach eggs.
Dentro de las cosas que descubrí, está el hecho que este bichito, que como pueden apreciar sus ojos color turquesa resaltan de forma impresionante ante el negro intenso del resto de su cuerpo, se desarrolla de forma parasitaria dentro del paquete de huevos de cucarachas u Ootecas.
Among the things I discovered, is the fact that this little bug, which as you can see its turquoise eyes stand out in an impressive way from the intense black of the rest of its body, develops in a parasitic way inside the package of cockroach eggs or Ootecas.
La desde ahora mi mejor amiga, en su estado adulto, inserta su aguijón dentro del Ooteca y deposita un huevo, la larva al nacer se alimentará de los huevos de cucaracha, creciendo y desarrollándose hasta convertirse en un adulto.
The from now on my best friend, in its adult state, inserts its stinger inside the Ooteca and deposits an egg, the larva at birth will feed on the cockroach eggs, growing and developing until it becomes an adult.
Como pueden ver son todas unas heroínas, claro debemos estar consiente que ellas solas no pueden eliminar el problema. Pero si tomamos en cuenta, que dentro de cada Ooteca se encuentran 15 huevos de cucarachas, quiere decir, que por cada Avispa Evania, hay 15 de esos bichos feo que no nos molestaran. No les parece genial, definitivamente la naturaleza es asombrosa.
As you can see they are all heroes, of course we must be aware that they alone cannot eliminate the problem. But if we take into account that inside each Ooteca there are 15 cockroach eggs, it means that for each Evania Wasp, there are 15 of those ugly bugs that will not bother us. They don't think it's great, nature is definitely amazing.
