Yesterday died with a fiery blast, then faded to grey before the night took full grip. Out back with my eldest son, Devin, I spent about ten minutes capturing the final rays of the sun.
Beautiful sunsets aren't a rarity here on the coast. Still, the progression of colors from deep orange to a light lavender stood out!
Perhaps this part of the earth knew an even hotter day was approaching. She was simply sharing some of her natural wonder to make up for it.
The images have been edited to remove the tops of most of the buildings. It does cut out the lighter clouds covering the sunset from above. Here's one that shows the sunset in its final minutes.
Finally, I'll end with one more that shows the bigger picture. Here's the full view from our back driveway just before Devin and I went back inside.
Today was indeed a scorcher but the evening isn't offering the glimpse of heaven that lit up the sky yesterday.
Thanks for viewing and as always...
